I posted a "tracked and signed for" parcel from UK to Hong Kong on 1st nov.
Although it said that the parcel would arrive within 2-5 working days, it hasnt arrived yet.
I know it normally takes longer than that but this time is so weird.
When I try to use the online track and trace service to see how it is going, it shows only 1 update on 1st nov, "Status: We have your item".
I went to the post office and they said that they knew nothing about the parcel because it already passed to Royal Mail.
I phoned Royal Mail and what they have got was the same as what I saw on the online track and trace service...
I really hope that it is just a system error but is it possible that the parcel has already lost...?

Re: Tracking problem
Try this site its usually more accurate than the main RM one, although it does seem to take some time to load http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Tracking problem
Thanks.
It only shows one detail:
Status: accepted at POL
Date: 1st nov
Track point is the post office which I post the parcel.
Does it mean the parcel is still in the post office and hasn't yet transferred to Royal Mail?

Re: Tracking problem
Thats one possible explanation. International Tracked and signed is tracked all the way so it should have at least been scanned in at the receiving MC if nothing else.
All you can do now is complain by calling Royal Mail. Its possible that a label has fallen off or it has been misrouted but these can't be investigated until an official complaint is made.

Re: Tracking problem
I have phoned to Royal Mail.
They just keep saying the same thing: the parcel has probably gone without scanning… and post a claim form if it still not arrived in December.
I am not sure should I go to the post office and ask about it again because last time they insisted that the parcel has left the post office.
I have sent a few "tracked and signed" parcels to Hong Kong before, each of them arrived within two weeks and experienced no problems on tracking.
I really don't want it lost since it is quite important…
