Who do we blame for the lack of unity, well no guesses for who I think it is and it's not Royal Mail who absolutely love the "local" agreement clause because they can get away with murder.
:shhhhh DVB. If you keep coming up with quotes like this, you will attract a regular contributor from the 'sea double you' to make a defense of his masters.
Well give me a stick and I'll poke it. :chuckle

The CWU agree to ignore any grievance procedures in respect of blatantly broken local or national agreements if it is in RM benefit to do so.
If however it is in RM benefit to reinforce local or national agreements then they will.

To completely ignore all requests for a resign, following a revision as per agreement as it means the local rep would lose his doddle of a duty and the RM bike he still uses for delivery.

They are on a daily basis getting members coming up to them with all sort of issues from the minor to the major and usually cant get hold of any area rep quickly for advice. The bullying is rife but managers tend to pick on the weaker ones who daren't even mention it to the rep let alone argue it with a manager. Most agreements now contain that lovely word "local". We all piss in the same pot so an agreement in lands end should be adhered to all the way to John ogroats.
So what do they do ? Sweet FA. We haven't had a union meeting since April.

Wow you actually remember when you last had a union meeting, apart from paying the subs I'd almost forgotten they exist :cuppa
