Hi, i am looking to apply for a 20 hour contract (part time 6 month) with RM but have a couple of questions.
1. What is the over time pay rate on a 20 hours contract and how would i work it out?
2. What is a delivery supplement? i assume its delivering junk mail?
3. Do many part time contracts get made into perm ones?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Couple of questions....
Hi, from my experience.
1. You are paid an hourly rate and then the delivery supplement (pro-rata for being part time). These are added together and that is the hourly rate that you will get up to a total of 39 hours (so for your first 19 hours of o/t). That is done so that if you worked a 39 hour week you will not get paid more than a full timer. As an example: if the hourly rate is £8 and a delivery sup is £10/week for 20 hours, the delivery sup works out at 50p/hour. So all pay up to 39 hours is £8.50 an hour.
2. The delivery supplement is for working in a delivery job, it is not specifically for the "door to door" items but it replaced an allowance that was.
3. Depends on the circumstances in the particular office. I did just over two years before being made permanent, I am the next on the list for full time but there is no saying how long it will be until I get it.
