Angard - Why am I being shut out?
Last time I worked was over a month ago, before that I was waiting 3 weeks for a text. I was working with someone else from Angard on that shift and he said that he never usually goes over 2 weeks without work.
So I've tried phoning them, calls get cut off all the time. Emailed them, no replies whatsoever, no acknowledgements or anything.
I'm getting fed up of this, I'd have been better working for Royal Mail again over Christmas because I'm seemingly being ignored by Angard.

join the club it happening in wales at my centre, some of which I think is down to race and religion ,as other people have complained about the same thing . got a text just now saying 4 hour shift then 5 minutes later get text saying shift cancelled does anyone at angard know what the hell they are doing . stuck a complaint in lets see how its dealt with and how long it takes ,then if not sorted union and ACAS . think at the moment the current fine is about £5000 if they are found guilty of breaching working regulations , and any sort of discrimination is covered by those rules .

I'm not even getting texts mate. Just tried applying for Royal Mail over Christmas to see if I can still get in but I can't because I'm registered with Angard.
I tried phoning 30 times yesterday, tried 20 times this morning just keep getting cut off. Insane this.

I used to phone on average 150 times a day...up your game! Once it's ringing do not hang up, even if it takes 20 minutes, they'll get sick of it ringing and pick up eventually!psmyth07 wrote:I'm not even getting texts mate. It finally started ringing yesterday and I left it for 10 minutes and got fed up. They do realise that this is peoples life's right? Not just a name on some excel spreadsheet.Justanotherstar wrote:I used to phone on average 150 times a day...up your game! I can't live on the probability that I might get hours over Christmas, I've applied for Royal Mail directly (Albeit a little late) and if I get on I'm going to jack it. Words cannot describe how poor they are.

Over xmas RM should take over booking the shifts and you'll get in every day you put your name down for, go into wherever you work and explain your problem with angard and let them know your availability, you should at least get 3 or 4 weeks of consistency!
It's absolutely diabolical the way they're run and by the sounds of it they have got worse since I got my contract!

Re: Angard - Why am I being shut out?
I got told on Tuesday by two different bosses that agency folk didn't come in on Wednesdays, which was fine.
I hadn't been given any other shifts so I just took this to mean that I had to go and wait for the next phonecall.
Now it just makes me wonder what happened with the others - were they asked to go in, or will I need to compete with them when phonecalls are getting made?

Hear hear to all comments about Angard. They are a waste of time. Don't bother with them and just apply directly to Royal Mail!

Re: Angard - Why am I being shut out?
So I got a reply from an email saying to ring them so my name goes back into the pool of names. I rang and they said I have to do security checks again, is this right? I still have a badge.

If 28 days between shifts lapse Angard revoke your security clearance so you have to redo them I'm afraid before your cleared to work. Keep at them to try and get it done ASAP.

Re: Angard - Why am I being shut out?
Yeah i was told if you have not worked for 28 days you have to go through the crb process again.... as you know that can take 2 weeks to a month to do so it looks like you can kiss any work this side of xmas goodbye
