I understand that Swindon mail centre is offering 45 full time postal staff redundancy package.Late shift sorting is to be moved to early shift ( I do not now how they will do it) ? Boys and girls at SN M/C please tell us if you know more !!!!!!

They want to send some of them to Bristol, it's failing miserably and in deep schtumm....

Staff moral is down, ex - Oxford and Reading staff can't get sunday over time , even one of ex - Oxford manager got the EVR.
OX and RG staff who travel 35 miles one way to SN on basic pay ( as sunday OT is gone) do not like working in SN and some of them want to get out of SN MC.

Can't see how that would work as there'd be nothing for them to sort. A More likely scenario would be DSA and Mailsort being moved onto lates

14th August, last date for VR applications at Swindon Mail Centre .... 45 VR available or could be more ... but 45 staff must go.

Heard nothing but no doubt it will be opened up as the DWP reshuffle will be coming soon and they need to make places for those deputy managers which will somehow go from part time to full time because of suitability...

iam off sick at the moment, but had a letter about a preference exercise at peterborough mail centre, asking if i would consider buy down or EVR,the letter said ,in not so many words it may it may not happen, yet i bumped into a fellow postman,and he was told, it's happening, as getting parcel machine early next year, can
anybody supply any info!!!!

I would respond anyway. If you indicate acceptance now, it should say somewhere on the letter/form that its non binding and you can refuse it when offered.
