We have to scan any tracked or specials that we don't deliver back into the system when we get back, once thats done they're off our hands.

That type of system will only be used in the busier offices as it's too expensive to roll out into every office.DGP1 wrote:It wont matter in a while anyway, everything will be barcoded when it's returned and then put into the computer and stored by the day they come in..........nice and complicated system to replace the simple system we have at the minute.

Think that was the general idea for everyone at one point.dblad wrote:We have to scan any tracked or specials that we don't deliver back into the system when we get back, once thats done they're off our hands.
However, as with most things in RM it wasn't thought through..........still need someone to put the items away and what if you scan an item as returned and nobody can find it when the customer turns in?
Plenty of variations on methods involved, but unless the tracking numbers are recorded on the 739 it all falls down on a regular basis as it always will with the untracked items.
