HI folks, I want your advice on to whom and how can I OFICIALLY complain to end the nightmare of local delivery office idiocy that has plagued me for THREE YEARS.
3 1/2 years ago, I bought a new built flat in Dunstable (LU5) delivery area. The flat was a new addition to te previously numbered bloc, so two new flats on the ground floor were labeled A and B. Mailboxes were assigned to flats A and B (and so labeled) at the end lower corner of the mail block of mailboxes (belinging to flats !-62 that wer epre-existing).
Even though our flat -- flat A -- is located right on the ground floor immediately across from the entrance to the block, so every mailman would always pass it on the way to the mailboxes, and it has a huge A on the door, that did not help explain to the postal workers that it exists. Even though we had the flat included on the Royal mail database pretty quickly, we spoke to the local postman, then another and then another, then we went to delivery office and had the flat included on the delivery frame -- we did all of that in the first 2-3 months, but the delivery was shaky at best.
It turns out that the scope of imagination of an average postal worker does not allow them to envision the existence of flats A and B. Despite "A" being in the RM database, on the delivery frame, on the mailbox and on the door. An average postal worker still thinks that perhaps instead of just looking right in front of them an delivering our post to the mailbox that says A on it, it would e better to -- return it as undeliverable, or maybe stick it for luck into any of the other mailboxes, especially the unfortunately unoccupied flats 1a or 2a, just for the heck of it.
Then, if I should be so lucky that perhaps someone in these flats will turn up, open the mailbox, and maybe bring some of my post back to me, or else it will be gone forever. It's been THREE YEARS and yet EVERY TIME a regular mailman is on holiday, the post for the week is gone.
I have been to speak to delivery manager countless times, they do NOTHING. No one ever though to specifically brief a replacement mail worker -- how many of them can there possible even be in LU5? -- on the existenec of these flats -- and why should they, because it is self-evident from it being included on the sorting frame, on the door, on the mailbox. But the post still disappears, and the delivery office management has taken an amazing non-chalant attitude towards it, as if this is somehow understandable or excusable. This last week, my new driving license went into the abyss, and next day I found some of my post under the doormat (perhaps brought back by random neighbors). They just lost my driving license, and they aren't even sorry!
It's been three years, and the delivery office management seems to think this is, if anything, amusing. There is no sign that anyone has ever been told of or reprimanded for returning our post as undeliverable or delivering it to wrong flats, simply because they were too dumb or too lazy to realise our flat exists, and despite passing right by it when entering the block. I am SOOO tired of this. I just need to know whom I can complain to so that people who keep doing this are finally told to stop treating us this way!
If the intellectual scope of an average delivery worker does not allow them to process all empirical evidence that our flat exists, and this is a known problem for three years, would it kill them to I don't know, put a note on the frame or somewhere in case a new person yet again delivers post, so that this doesn't happen again?
I just want someone to hear me, apologize and explain what concrete steps were taken to reprimand the person who has been misdeliveing out post all past week, and to ascertain this does not happen again. Because if no one ever is told off for this, of course they keep doing it! Our post is being treated like just some rubbish, no one cares about! There is NO RESPONSIBILITY of any kind!
This is so disgusting, folks. And I actually used to work for Royal Mail btw.

I actually find your post slightly insulting.
What I suggest you do is look up the replies to a previous post you made. Tbt has already given you the details if you want to take a matter further.

What kind of mailbox is it? What size? Why was mail left under your doormat if there is a mailbox?
