A Royal Mail van was broken into and had bags of mail stolen on Monday afternoon in Muirhouse.

A number of youths gained entry to a Royal Mail van parked on Muirhouse Gardens at around 5.50pm on and made off with two bags of mail.

Its understood the stolen mail was recovered a short time later.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said “Police are actively making enquiries to identify and trace those involved and anyone with information should contact Police on 101.”

Should have made the lad deliver the mail as a punishment, he will think jail is a better option :Very Happy
