Their might be more walking, but lighter bags + if the 4th postie has time on light days he could help is mates. Its called Team Worknorm wrote:The other 3 posties would have to absorb a 1/3 of a delivery onto their walks, which mean too much walking. Plus on light days the 4th postie would be doing very little.doorstepped wrote:easiest way I can see of getting enough time to deliver walks etc is the following
4 posties working together, the 4 walks are split into 3 and they take small packets ( letter box pushable size ) and mail only, all large packets, specials and tracked go with the 4th postie who deliver's for all four walks.
of course, I am now playing Fantasy RM and it will never happen, but it could work if someone was to give it a chance.

Are you serious?? We can barely cram the post from 2 walks into a combi van some days, I'd like to see 4 walks in one....or do you advocate RM buying a new fleet of Trannies??

Can't see it working as it is hard to work with more than one person in park and loop.

Re: Come on lads
Seriously though this deliver to neighbour is embarrassing.Getting night workers out of bed for someone's parcel or daily knocking at a house unlucky enough to have an ebayer next door is just wrong. How about introducing stickers that people can put on their door?
I suggest clear off I don't want their parcel.

You can get them but they peel off and no one knows how to get them you need the royalmail number which I don't have and I bet you have to wait 3 weeks on the line because they have no staff!antcpfc wrote:Seriously though this deliver to neighbour is embarrassing.Getting night workers out of bed for someone's parcel or daily knocking at a house unlucky enough to have an ebayer next door is just wrong. How about introducing stickers that people can put on their door?

Re: Come on lads
If the customer can't be bothered to leave instructions where to leave the parcels when they place their order then they can go and collect it from the post office. What's the problem? Our competitors get paid per parcel and don't have a local depot to leave it. Why don't we have a campaign to remind the customers what we can do for them instead of trying to copy the dodgy practices our competitors use. We're better than them we should play to our strengths.

Re: Come on lads
we had some bint at our office on Tuesday telling us to get rid of tracked items as Ofcom wont change unless we improve deliver to neighbour. She was straight out of uni and has never done the job. She was given short shrift !
