Parcel stuck since 16th October

Post by thetradebox »

I sent a parcel to SE1 in London on the 16th, it shows as collected and then 30 minutes later scanned as DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC AIRSURE, after which it has not moved at all, that was at 8:30pm on the 16th, it is now 20th and the customer is saying nothing has arrived. It was a special delivery next day 1pm item so it should have been there by now for sure, I spoke to customer services and said to wait 10 days from the 16th and claim but the problem is this was a one-off item so it is a significant loss, financially I will be compensated but not for the loss of an irreplaceable item, e.g. of historic or sentimental value. The customer service woman I spoke to didn't really appear that concerned and it was quite off the cuff that nothing could be done and to put a claim in after 10 days, as if nothing out of the ordinary has happened.

I want to know what channels I can approach to find out what has happened to my parcel.

Thanks

If you tried sending an item abroad using Special Delivery, a UK-only service I would imagine it will be rejected by HWDC. You did put a return address on it, right?
