Hard to argue that isnt the case. Been a catalogue of mistakes right from the start. But we wont know for sure until we see the deal

Yeah I agree lads lasses I dont feel like the Union has lost face it took two clueless chaps and a court injunction to halt the path. Now there shouting about a deal,(We wait in hope) but the size of feeling is as such that in part 90% of us would have walked on strike days next week on UIA.

Itsbloody frustraiting to listen to news readers reporters and so called postal experts on the news going on about what we do and our problems as work force these people are bloody clueless they have not the first idea what any of this about.

This is about us sticking up for our rights not being bent over by a dictatership.

More Unions should stick up for themselves...

We don't have to accept a thing.

I truly believe if the earlier injuction and no deal had been done tonight, then the whole 100,000+ would've walked tomorrow.
In saying that, if the deal is s**t, we may well still walk.

Having a meeting in the morning at our place regarding people being suspended for cutting off deliveries.Talk of a walkout ! :cfo

Both sides have made f**k ups. We know the unions ones, but I don`t think RM bargained on the rolling strikes at all. That was a good move by the union, max impact and minimum loss to members. Stay positive till we see the agreement. Also there has been movement on pay, that`s all we know really at the moment. If anyone is expecting it to be all good news then they`re in for a shock. Does anyone know when we get to see/hear details of the agreement?

Having messed up the notification, the union didnt have any choice, if you think about it. Next week's strikes were intended to follow through on the disruption of the four days just finished. Now the earliest the official strikes can resume is in ten days time, if the union managed to get another notification in on Monday. In ten days the backlog from last weekend's action will be more or less clear. The members have just lost more or less a whole week's pay, and many of them have only stayed with the action hoping to see some results from the sacrifice they've just made. Beyond the regular posters on this site and away from some of the London offices I think we all know there is isnt much appetite out there for starting the whole thing from scratch - really it would be for the third time since the first backlog was cleared during the "period of calm". So suddenly ward and hayes find they've thrown away their only card.

What this dispute has really shown is that the ordinary workers can and will stand up for what they believe in. The labour laws in this country are too much in favour of the bosses. Look at the hoops we had to jump through for this to be recognised as official. We done it and everyone has now started to see that we are not a bunch of money grabbing thugs it is their postal service we are fighting for not just our own conditions..

Bar the strike breakers ofcourse but they are sub-human and without morals..

If thats the case then I'll see you on the lines on Tuesday,and I can tell you that we're ready to go now,thats the feedback am getting off lads in my office
