Almost 100 postal staff have been staging wildcat strikes in Edinburgh and Grangemouth over pay deductions following recent official action.
The rules are simple and clear, people who took industrial action over four days were fully aware that they would not be paid for the days on which they took strike action
I wasn't f***ing aware until i read about it on here, so how the f**k is it simple and clear?

Well seeing as the union had to give 7 days notice of strike action why has Royal Mail failed to give notice on pay stoppages? It only makes us more deternined to beat these scumbags...

we must not give up on this dispute until these 2 evil bastards are gone.

Its perfectly legal to pay people for work that they have done
Eg:last week you were paid a full weeks money, even though Royal mail knew in advance that the strike days had been called (the reason for the full weeks payment was to cover workers who decided not to strike)
Now to this week
You will find that you have been paid for your days worked, think about it last weeks Fri/Sat has been paid to you, and you I assume did not work
Do you honestly feel you should be paid for days NOT worked?????????

Not got a wage slip yet but they kindly deposited £71.21 in the bank for me.

Like being on the dole again. Thanks Royal Mail for giving me advance practice of being unemployed and 4 days off as well. What a great company!!

By the same token....they know if you have worked overtime on a monday but they don't rush to meet the tuesday pay deadline so you get it on the friday do they?? :no no

just sent this email to the gruesome twosome

Hi Gents

Just want to convey my gratitude for help me make up my mind regarding whether or not to continue to back strike action..I have been swithering about going back to work, but Royal Mail`s desperate and quite pathetic action of docking their people`s wage a week in advance has helped me make up my mind. In the words of the song " I can see clearly now" , so please convey my thanks to whoever made that decision

Regards

Alan

We were on strike for four days and we lose four days pay as a consequence, simple really. You can't put the blame on RM for that one.
O>K then if i work overtime mon, tues, weds the way they have worked our strike money out i should get paid it on thursday.(I think not)
Basic Pay is paid in advance. If you work overtime or do DTD etc it is paid the following week.

For me??????
No
But judging by the amount of delivery officers who returned to the office,it seems a very large majority of my men did get an early day
What a difference a couple of weeks makes :dance

Got my wage slip today,no payment for d2d or some overtime owed despite the fact we handed our dockets to the managers last Thursday en masse.

Got £83 quid - no pay slip had a look through on-line banking. This really shows what they are going to lower themselves to - this starve us back to work attitude just serves to make ME more determined in my stance and support of the union.

Loads of people at work were totally disgusted with them. Its caused a lethargy in making any effort or good will gesture to push the work through.

Good on you Alan and Adam - what a pair of low life f***ers you really are eh?
Gob for the job and mouth of the south!!!
