Here's an idea.
If Branson has enough money to bail out Northern Rock, how's about we invite him to bail out us?!
Virgin Mail - sounds good! Good employers to work for too.
It could be back to the good old days if he (Virgin) got involved..

Branson is nothing but a publicity seeking whore who I wouldn't trust to run a bathWild Rover wrote:Here's an idea.

Re: Virgin Mail??
plenty of RMT members will back that up , Virgin aren't what they're cracked up to be , Branson used to pay low wages but played " the kindly paternal uncle " putting parties on for staff etc. However when he heard his staff were joining USDAW etc, he actually started crying as his staff "had betrayed him ". We've two egotistical, vaucous, vain cwats in charge; don't need another one .Branson will only recognise a union if forced to do so .After Privatisation on the railway there was a lot of trench warfare for 2 years . A mate of mine got so fed up that he resigned and went to Ruskin College , Oxford , he regretted not going earlier.BELIAL wrote:Good employer bollocks ,s**t money cheesy grinWild Rover wrote:Here's an idea.

The Universal Service really has to be in Government control because it needs to be able to deliver ballot papers and all election material to all addresses. It would be dangerous to allow any possible party partisanship to creep in. But there's no reason why RM can't be more entrepreneurial in its business outlook. Postcomm is a handicap, certainly, but it's possible to learn to live with it and work with it to make sure there's fair competition. Fair competition in the business mail sector wouldn't hurt if RM was better organised. But the problem is that at the moment the management is more concerned with confrontation than business enterprise. I wish I had the chance to run RM properly.
