Fortunately there's only a couple of hundred people live in Lincolnshire so no sweat, well literally for them

And nothing to protect them from the chilling winds from Russia they should know what to expect.

YOU GET DAYS OFF! How did you wangle that? Our Manager says we have to work every day for no pay, and pay Royal Mail for the privilege!

On a serious note when was the last time you didn't go out? Last winter we had a lot of snow, I couldn't make it to my DO so reported to the nearest one and we went out two to a van , no trolley and just did what we could. In fact we had a good laugh mucking about in the snow!

They said record breaking snow was due last year but the only record broken was - no snow whatsoever last winter up here! The year before last though the main roads were iced over for 3 weeks solid don't want that again!

Yes they dodged the bullet here last year,first winter of P/L and no snow at all,in fact hardly a frost which was lucky as there are plenty of hills and steep drives/steps on my walk.

So what you do is go out, do your own risk assessment and take it all back if it's too dangerous. Last time it snowed we took the lot back. RM now put the ball in your court by sending you out and telling you do make the decision yourself, so make it!

He can try the line with me, but H&S laws allow me to make dynamic risk assessments myself, and there is nothing they can do. Even if they did try to pressurise me into going where I honestly thought it was unsafe I'd take steps to ensure that it wouldn't happen again.
