Leave my permanent job for Xmas casual?

First of all I'd like to say I really dislike my job for many reasons but I've been wanting out now for a while. I've been invited to a registration event and as far as I'm aware it doesn't mean I necessarily have the job but it's quite likely isn't it? Aslong as they can fit work around my college day which is every Friday. Should I leave my job for an Xmas casual job? Also whats the likelihood of staying on longer than a month? I'll be working in the warehouse which I've done before at a retail store and I'll enjoy just worried I'll be stuck unemployed for a long time afterwards although I am attending college for the foreseeable future to do higher levels in accounting every year

1. You've almost certainly got the job.

2. You have to be able to work the entire duration of your contract, including ALL the hours in your shift. RM's shift pattern tends to be 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am. They won't give you time off. In fairness to Royal Mail, they stipulate this quite clearly in their Xmas Casual job specs.

3. Whether you're kept on after Christmas will depend on local circumstances. However, it's highly unlikely you'll get a permanent position out of it. You may be offered the chance to register with Angard, but it'll be on a zero-hour contact, which means no guaranteed hours.

4. Remember if you leave a job voluntarily, you probably won't be eligible for JSA for a good while. May not be relevant, but something to keep in mind.

Chances of getting kept on are very slim, you may hate your job but you will hate having to call Angards premium rate number up to 100 times a day to get a 4 hour shift if you do get kept on...don't do it!!
