Up to 3 DTN attempts per item and still finish on time delivering correctly, outside Xmas pressure, besides on the quietest summer days? :left:

During Xmas pressure, even with previous delivery assistance? :left: :left: :left: :left: :left:

So boss, I don't want to do any overtime today... How many attendance call addresses are not going to answer the door and how many DTN attempts will I need to deliver each item that can be DTNed?
Can I have the winning lottery numbers as well, please?

They really should put the courier in a paper cover instead of plastic - it would make it much easier to recyle.

Totally agree. I find the whole communication from the company in Courier and RMTV very patronising as they constantly tell us how to do the job.

RMTV and the Courier always remind me of the tv series Hi-de-Hi. Always trying to whip enthusiasm for what is just a dead end job which is only going to get harder.

So come on campers, put that smile on your faces!

World Class Mail = more managers in suits documenting whatever they are documenting

All this propaganda with the WCM pillars resembling the parthenon. There must be some real soft jobs in the royal mail dreaming up this sort of stuff.

And ive decided I need one of those soft jobs. Maybe i should start at the number 1 pillar: health and safety. And Ive got a few ideas that might/might not change the way people work (probably won't make a jot of difference actually); albeit I haven't emailed moya about it just yet:

1. Hang a pair of well-worn Cat trainers on the noticeboard; to inform staff of the need to not wear their old shoes (even though i don't personally like the new ones). Perhaps include the telephone number for staff to ring for new shoes, if they can't get them on the website

2. Staple a fluorescent orange hi-vis vest on the noticeboard to inform staff that they must wear these in the yard at all costs. No excuses.

3. Make the bays for the Yorkes in the yard more visible

4. Pedestrian crossing in the yard!

5. Dangerous Dog incident book?? The times i have come across a hazard and couldn't find walk-logs etc

6. New system of reporting new hazards

7. All workstations to be at least 4 metres adjacent to each other!!!!!! (you wouldn't believe the number of times staff bump into each other in our office because there is not enough room in between adjacent workstations)

I sure i could make a career out of health and safety at the Royal Mail, and i wouldn't expect anything other than a decent salary, with a company car and maybe a few bonuses thrown in for good measure....
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
