Now this I do not believe!!
Langley HDWC has the longest waiting for customs and you're not guaranteed your parcel/package.
They do not hold any way of contact. I visit the Post Office earlier, and not even they have a contact number for the HWDC. Its ridiculous.
If anybody was to get sent something internationally, order it and get it sent via a private courier, Therfore, you will have your parcel/package on time :)

Their managers must be unusually good at fiddling the figures.

I know that JMC had 2 points docked from their latest audit and apparently HWDC management were the WCM auditors. I'm not sure if that is fair to have a rival management team come in and audit a neighbouring MC

They should do their own audit once. They'd be docking ALL their own points if any of the senior managers ever visited the night shift. Apparently the night shift is run by a mafia of back-stabbing, corrupt and manipulative managers. I used to deliver there from NDC until recently. Things that the door staff told me about what goes on there would leave you gob smackedrainbowwarrior72 wrote:I know that JMC had 2 points docked from their latest audit and apparently HWDC management were the WCM auditors. Re: Heathrow (HWDC): A WCM Silver Accredited Site Now!!!
HWDC cheated their way to Bronze and Silver. The audits are held in the daytime, when there is hardly any work in the plant. Work is relocated to other MC's temporarily-wilful delay-so the place looks like a ghost town. If the audits were held on nights we'd be laughed at, as congestion is a very big problem. Duties are now going to be cut drastically, so the remaining people in the various work areas will have to work a lot harder. Oh yeah, and our head of operations gave us all a raffle ticket so we could get a cup of tea or coffee from the canteen as a thank you for helping HWDC achieve Silver. Go figure!

I went there lost week after quite some time. They have no work left. Blue bags of pre sorted international have disappeared. Door staff told me that they had lost all major contacts. They are doing duty revision and duties are cut. Night shift managers are still the same, arrogant bastards, they stare at you as soon as you enter the door. Staff told me that they had the highest bullying & hasrrassment rate in the country. Worst managed mail centre I have ever seen and I have seen most of them in last 22 years of driving.

Re: Heathrow (HWDC): A WCM Silver Accredited Site Now!!!
Don't know much about HWDC other than it has a nice canteen.
I do know that mail volumes are falling massively there and the place costs a fortune to run due to the amount of machinery inside the place.
They have a very convoluted conveyer belt system that needs constant maintenance and the contract is given to Siemans as in it's a monopoly for them to exploit.
So I imagine the outgoing capital paid to this company is quite substantial.
It would appear the place has been left to become an inefficient waste land ruled by management and union barons.
I am not saying this is the reality it is just how it appears to people who don't work there.
Or so it has been reported to me.
Anyone else care to comment on this subject?

For the trophy award have they melted down all these parcels that are tracked to HWDC and then disappear off track and trace
Its a joke - course it would never happen.

Where do you think these contracts have gone?Radio wrote: Door staff told me that they had lost all major contacts.
Down stream access maybe, TNT?
What contracts are you talking about?
If HWDC has to put a figure forward for the amount of cost involved in processing each individual item of mail I don't think it would look very good.
Unit cost of one packet processed as offset to the cost of processing it, the mind boggles at how to work that one out but I'm sure the WCM team could make the answer look very attractive.
What happened to the Japanese scientist and his scientific approach, the genius who invented the WCM system?
Did he die in the end?
Just curious because I heard a load of dodgy rumours about the bloke regarding his treatment of women.
