We must all help deliver our strategy

Writing on the topic of our strategy in her My View column in Courier, Moya says: ‘As we start to gear up for our busiest time of the year, delivering on our strategy has never been more important.

‘Our marketplace is very competitive. Our competitors are innovating and many are achieving high first-time delivery rates.

‘To ensure our company is sustainable in the long run, we need existing customers to continue to choose Royal Mail. And we need to win new customers.’

Specific demands

‘Online retailers and consumers are a vital source of business.

‘We are making every effort to satisfy our customers’ expectations. We’re taking many steps to meet their needs and make sure we’re relevant.

‘For example, we’re trialling Sunday deliveries of Royal Mail Tracked 24 parcels inside the M25. Around 100 enquiry offices are also open on Sundays now, on a trial basis.’

Being nimble and flexible

‘Our efforts don’t end with Sunday services.

‘We’re enhancing our Tracked Returns service. We’ve secured new business with eBay as a carrier for its new click-and collect service.

‘We’ve expanded our own Local Collect click-and-collect offering to include 20,000 small and medium-sized business customers.

‘We’ve also completed the development of a new shipping platform for large online retailers, enabling improved integration between their systems and our software.

‘These initiatives are also not easy – it takes the investment and hard work of many groups working across the company.

‘Yes, we will continue to face challenges going forward. But by working together, I know that we will achieve our vision of being recognised as the best delivery company in the UK and across Europe.’

She does, she's been busy ordering skisuits and stuff for her trip home ( november-january ) , hope they arrive by HERMES!
