Next Wave Partners has invested in UK postal operator Secured Mail in a follow-on financing round.

Next Wave first invested in Secured Mail in 2011 and has seen the company's turnover almost double.

The fresh investment will support Secured Mail's expansion plans by providing capital for technology and infrastructure and new staff.

Company
Secured Mail was founded in 2006 and provides downstream mail services, handling letters for businesses and contracting Royal Mail to deliver the final leg of the journey. Its clients include Amazon and Centrica. It has sites in Crick, Warrington and Dartford. The business expects turnover to hit £80m in 2013.

People
Stephen Wallis worked on the deal for Next Wave. Mark Bigley is the founder and CEO of Secured Mail.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
