That's not a great start time, traffic starts to build on roads around then. With duties finishing later it limits the amount of OT you can do also.

So I'd be against that.

When are they going to learn that people want their mail as early as possible. Late afternoon and you immediately think you've had no mail today and then at 3/4o'clock mail drops through the door.

Very strong rumours about. When our delivery staff heard about it ... they are not happy at all. Pillar boxes to be emptied by delivery staff , SA on collections will go and SA collections will convert to duties and present collection drivers will do them.

8-4?? Absolutely nonsensical IMO.
We're getting out too late as it is, especially those who took the job based on the hours being suitable for school pick-ups. Imagine cut-offs or undelivered lapsing not going out on docket until after 4pm?? The customers getting mail as they eat their tea? It'd cause a ruckus I tells ya....

Won't like that either as it mean less recovery time after work before going out to dance, but again it mean extra hour of sleep or dancing on Saturday morning. I would prefer to go back to 6am start rather than go to 8am.

If the business moves to a single pass for your sequenced mail it may not reach your office until 8am, in some cases even later.

Happy Days !!!
We are already on 07:30 starts & coming in daily at 06:00 for 1:30 overtime per day due to parcel increase and high manual mail on model week chosen.
Later we start more indoor overtime for us, I know every office is different.

Shifting the most miserable hours of my day to an hour later makes no odds to me. Trudging round in the dark has a certain bleak appeal.
