Revisions going live this week

As part of our nationwide programme of operational transformation, we’ve made changes to our delivery arrangements in some offices this week (w/c 28th July). These changes could include: a review of delivery routes, improved delivery equipment being brought into use or changes to the way in which we prepare mail for delivery. Customers may start to see changes this week to deliveries in the following areas:

Brockley SE4
Edgbaston B15-B16

Operational Transformation
As part of our nationwide programme of operational transformation, we’ve made changes to our delivery arrangements this week (w/c 1 September). These changes could include: a review of delivery routes, improved delivery equipment being brought into use or changes to the way in which we prepare mail for delivery. Customers may start to see changes this week to deliveries in the following area:

Bristol East Central (BS2)
Change to enquiry office facilities for customers in parts of Leicester
On Monday 1 September, enquiry office facilities for customers in the LE2 0, LE2 1, LE2 2, LE2 3, LE2 4 and LE2 5 postcode areas moved from our Campbell Street Delivery Office in Leicester to our new Leicester Mail Preparation Unit, Meridan East, Meridian Business Park, LE19 1TH.

When collecting items, please first check the details on the 'Something for you' card. If it’s dated on or after Monday 1 September, the item will be available for collection from our new Leicester Mail Preparation Unit. Items dated on or before 30 August will be available to collect from the Leicester Central Delivery Office on Campbell Street. Customers don’t need to come to the office to collect these items; details of how to arrange a redelivery are shown on the card.

Deliveries for these areas will also relocate to the new unit, there should be little change to delivery or collection services as a result of this move.

These changes could include: a review of delivery routes, improved delivery equipment being brought into use or changes to the way in which we prepare mail for delivery. Customers may start to see changes this week to deliveries in the following area:

Keynsham (BS31)

Relocation of Chelmsford Delivery Office – CM1 - CM3 and CM99
On Saturday 6 September, the Chelmsford Delivery Office at 30 Victoria Road, closed and all facilities moved to our new office at Montrose Road, Chelmsford CM2 6ZZ. Items we’ve been unable to deliver and for which we leave a 'Something for you' card will be available to collect from the new Chelmsford Enquiry Office. Customers don’t need to come to the office to collect these items; details of how to arrange a redelivery are shown on the card. There should be little change to delivery services as a result of this move.

Hornsey Delivery Office (N8) is moving
On Monday 22 September we transferred our mail delivery operations for the N8 postcode area from the existing Hornsey Delivery Office, located at 44 Tottenham Lane, to our North London Delivery Centre at Unit 11-13, Bush Industrial Estate, Station Road, N19 5UW. However, we don’t expect this to have any effect on mail deliveries.

Loughton (IG10) and Woodford Green (IG7-IG9) Delivery Offices have moved
We have transferred mail delivery operations for the IG7-IG10 postcode areas from the existing offices at Loughton and Woodford Green to our new Debden Delivery Office at: Unit 6b, Imprimo Park, Lenthall Road, Loughton, IG10 3UF. We don’t expect this to have any effect on mail deliveries. To arrange a redelivery of any item we’ve been unable to deliver, please check the ‘Something for you’ card we’ll leave at the time for details of how to do this. Since 29th September if we have left a 'Something for you' card, these items will be available for collection from the new Debden office.

No I personally can't wait till we get trolleys, we lapse occasionally but its difficult as a lot of the time available for delivery work is taken up by standing at at bus stops and travelling on the bus. 30 minutes in - 30 minutes out - Planner gave us 15 each way, and he wasn't on about the nags either. KIck out, for no breakers is 0930 so I leave around 1010. Start delivering 1030-1045 - back at office - 1430 -1500

When we do get CDVs, I reckon it will take 10 minutes max to get out on delivery.

On Monday, we transferred mail delivery operations for the HU8 postcode area from the existing office at Hull City Delivery Office to the Malmo Road Delivery Office, Malmo Road, Hull, HU7 0AA. We don’t expect this to have any effect on mail deliveries.

If we’ve been unable deliver an item and have left a 'Something for you' card, these items will be available for collection from the Malmo Road Delivery Office. Customers don’t need to travel to the new office to collect any such items however. To arrange a redelivery, please check the ‘Something for you’ card for details of how to do this.
