A lot of these yes voters will be voting themselves out of a job, royal mail Scotland will be a lot slimmed down from the staff numbers we have now.

with the SNP guaranteeing service levels as they are at the moment with the USO, also with the promise of renationalising RM, why exactly do you think there will be job losses?
Where is the snp going to get the money for all these policies, rural ares are the biggest loss leaders in Royal Mail and we have huge area's like this in Scotland.
Even with Royal Mail in its present form there has been job losses so what's going to happen when we lose all the big centre's from down south.
We will have to sign new contracts in an independent Scotland, does anybody think we will have the same wages and conditions if they do the are dreaming.
In the 40 plus years with Royal Mail we have had to fight a lot of battles with Royal Mail to get ŵhere we are as regards pay and conditions so to see theses gains lost would be tragic.
Will the CWU be interested in a minority, independent group not allied to their Joint Partners - of course they will, not the people of course but they'll accept subs from anyone regardless of the lack of representation. :cuppa

What's the fallback plan if (or when) Shetland etc decide they want independance from Scotland ?
This I suppose sums up the position from a great deal of people south of the border, Scotland is not a region of England and it isn't an outlying island so the comparison is silly and insulting.
You suppose to much - I'm a lot closer to Shetland than you appear to be.

So what is the fallback plan if (or when) Shetland etc decide they want independance from Scotland ?

Or is self determination the sole right of nations ? (I note the SNP have recently significantly changed their stance on self determination)
I am no longer a number :-)

Who knows what will be required to join the EU, having the euro as currency may well be one of the requisites to be a new member.

This is whats happening

"Look at the crowd, they all look to their left before giving that pathetic cheer. When the camera pans out, you see someone at the right of the camera cuing them to do so but look how fake and forced it is. The leaders then turn around on cue too.

These people are trying to manipulate us. There are no additional powers, it is the same old guff. If they really cared, then this would have been put on the table ages ago.

Independence gives us ALL POWER, not just some of it. Our Future in Our Hands, or our Future in Westminster's Hands.

This is not about Salmond, the SNP, Labour, the Tories or the Lib Dems. It is about me and you, the people of Scotland.

I'm ‪#‎YesBecause‬ this is ‪#‎OneOpportunity‬ that may never come around again and we can make Scotland a better place for our kids who are the future of our country. They deserve the best chance which is what Independence is.

‪#‎VoteYES‬ "

They'll tell any old lies now about Scotlands membership of the EU, some folk are in for a major shock when they realise that we won't get the same opt-outs as the UK, VAT, Euro and Schengen just for starters.

Nice copy and paste job again Newtimes, who's the author of your thoughts?

It came via Catalans supporting an independent Scotland, whats wrong with sharing thoughts, thats why the Yes movement is the biggest movement Scotland has ever seen. Controlling thoughts is the negative No Campaign way, which is being controlled by the corrupt political elite from their Westminster Thiefdom. Which part of Spain are you going for your holidays,

Simply_the_best, enjoy your holiday, on this referendum we will have different views, when I post and quotes are not used these are my words, so I will disagree with your last post. I had no intentions of joining the YES movement, its the biggest movement Scotland has seen, its happening. Slag it off, laugh at it , mock it, we do not care, we are getting Independence, that path can not be blocked.

You know how it is newtimes, you meet this gorgeous woman in a bar, she flatters you, tells you all the things you want to hear, buys you a drink and a bag of pork scratchings, invites you home, makes you a coffee then says she's not that kind of girl
