They mentioned it was due to pay deductions.

They were reporting live outside a South London depot and mentioned managers were driving wagons in and out to keep the mail moving. But said they were waving at the workers on the picket line each time causing intimidation.

Said talks failed last night and have resumed again today. RM set to lose £260M over strikes and other businesses combined are losing £5M per day.

Wild Cat strikes are over foul play, intimidation and bullying he was reporting. He also said that some 1500 agency workers have been drafted in to help out who have not been security checked, however RM press office said they do not employ people who have not been screened. They also said that 97% of staff have returned to work and accepted the new hours and that RM does not condone any form of intimidation or bullying.

So I guess the manager driving the wagon is in for it then.

I cannot believe how conceted royal mail is, staff returned to work as strike had finished not cause they accept new hours.

As the rep at the NWDO in Edinburgh (the only office in Edinburgh out) we walked at 9am today on a number of issues but mainly on the 4 days deduction in one go we were never briefed all week the members only found out when they went to the bank today and after a discussion they walked, i have been acussed of incitment for unoffical industrial action the members have made it clear any action against me will result in more action.

The Screws and union reps are two sides of the same coin.

Screws and inmates don't trust each other. A law abiding inmate gets taken advantage of by the screw and the nice screw gets taken advantage of by the inmate.

You ever wondered why almost every DOM is a white balding middle-aged bitter and twisted individual, oh and so are most of the senior reps. All of whom hang onto their roles any way they can, and use their jobs as almost the only occasion they can assert any form of authority.

Surely there's a book to be written off the back of this, maybe George Orwell has written one already.

i here it was close to going out at my place over the pay but they called the cwu and they sed just do the job to 318 and guess what they all go out in cars glad they have money to waste on fuel out of that bad weeks pay.

I'm surprised our office (Coventry) hasn't had a walk out, it could be because the management have taken a different approach than other offices. Our's has been less confrontational and more diplomatic.

I'm struggling to understand all the wildcat strikes, I know there are a lot of different issues going on but do fear pocket strikes here and there will eventually lead to disunity.
