Working Sunday Overtime to clear backlog ?

Post by dididw »

Is there any other delivery offices working this sunday to help reducing the indoor workload, apparently the manager has been offering 5 hrs docket ?

no sunday work here, although manager is asking posties on there wally week to do a days overtime inward sorting.which means instead of mail being piled up all over the office its all stacked up around our benches as he,s refusing to pay posties to clear.

They are treating you like children and you still want to do extra for them?

Sunday overtime should not be offered while we are still in dispute as this defeats the object of the strikes. However, if RM wanted to go some way to win back staff goodwill AFTER the dispute has been settled - then Sunday working on Enhanced rate may be a very good idea indeed!

Manager at Mail centre came round last night asking if interested in coming in Sat.night, never seen so much mail too much for building all out in yard stacked 2 high in cages with tarpaulins over plus artic trailers full of yorks which nobody dated so will be interesting.Forgot to say my answer to Sat was a definite NO.
