Team ‘Late Again’ win the 3 Charity Challenge
Team ‘Late Again’ has stormed to the top of the 3 Charity challenge leader board to take the title, knocking off long-term leaders ‘the Attendance Titans’ after raising more than £2,500.
The Late Again team completed an epic feat of endurance, cycling 400 miles in five days from Hayling Island to Paris and back. The awesome team of six was led by Cathryn Lower and Barry Jeeves, from Wheatstone House, Swindon.
Cathryn says: ‘The whole experience is really hard to describe. You are running on a strange mix of team spirit, endorphins, energy drink, adrenaline and flapjacks and you just keep going together.’
Accomplishment
Cathryn added: ‘The sights and sounds were amazing. The sense of accomplishment was second to none and even getting lost was quite good fun. I would do it again in a moment. In fact, I can’t see why anyone else wouldn’t want to do it too!’
Not only did the team have to face the mile-long climb over the Pont du Normandie on their final day, but they did so in fancy dress!
