Last year, we became a champion of the Imagination Library, set up by country-singing superstar Dolly Parton to give children better access to books.
We were the biggest business ever to open the library to its employees, and provided funding for hundreds of children to receive a free book every month for a year.
To show her gratitude to Royal Mail colleagues, Dolly has sent us a personal letter of thanks, not only for the partnership, but for helping to deliver more than one million books across the UK.
Dolly says: ‘Thank you so much for helping us to bring the Imagination Library to the children of your employees. It is a wonderful new opportunity for us, so we really appreciate you blazing the trail.
‘Of course, we remain so very grateful to all of your women and men who deliver our books to kids each and every month.’
Dolly signs off her letter: ‘So, from the bottom of my country heart… thank you!’
