You're absolutely right NW, I did it feel a bit sorry for her. I reckon I'm a pretty fair minded individual, but it was just something about having her grandkid or someone else's kid in the car with her while she was flying about delivering parcels that irked me a bit. I was n't really thinking about the economics I was more concerned with the well being of the kid.NWpostie wrote:Look at it from another perspective, she is a young mother trying to make ends meet and is exploited by courier companies for pennies per parcel and using her own car at nil cost to the courier company, I have more sympathy for her than the company trying to drive down unit cost to the minimum.saddlerposty wrote:the crazy bint up our way delivers her parcels from a little fiesta crammed with parcels and a small child, she leaves the door open keys in and engine running while she is at a door some 20 meters or so away.....just a matter of time before the obvious happens.mickeymacca wrote:One of the courier drivers that delivers in her car, broke down yesterday with an estate car full of parcels. Saw this plenty of times - I wouldn't care about the parcels but when there's a kid in the car take the bloody keys out.saddlerposty wrote: the crazy bint up our way delivers her parcels from a little fiesta crammed with parcels and a small child, she leaves the door open keys in and engine running while she is at a door some 20 meters or so away.....just a matter of time before the obvious happens.

You are making as many assumptions there as me and Saddlerposty, neither of us said anything about her being young. Indeed the driver I am referring to is most certainly well in her 50's, nice lady, might well be hard up, but hopefully the situation she found herself in has made her question the cr@p emplyers she works for and more importantly jeopardising the life of the baby/child just to deliver some poxy parcels .DB1100 wrote:Exactly,at least she is trying.Give her a break.NWpostie wrote:Look at it from another perspective, she is a young mother trying to make ends meet and is exploited by courier companies for pennies per parcel and using her own car at nil cost to the courier company, I have more sympathy for her than the company trying to drive down unit cost to the minimum.saddlerposty wrote:the crazy bint up our way delivers her parcels from a little fiesta crammed with parcels and a small child, she leaves the door open keys in and engine running while she is at a door some 20 meters or so away.....just a matter of time before the obvious happens.mickeymacca wrote:One of the courier drivers that delivers in her car, broke down yesterday with an estate car full of parcels.
