I try throw as many in as i can Monday and Tuesday that way most are cleared for Thursday then deliver the rest Friday and cleared and none to deliver sat!

Which is the way it should be. As long as they are cleared,you should be left alone,so many people just take them where they are going, the managers have stopped trying to enforce it, if they ever did. Like everything else really, a lot of the time even the letters don't go out , let alone the D2D's! Privatisation seems to be working well. Not.

The problem is if you go sick,no one knows where you have delivered d2ds for that week , which is why doing a sixth a day is the correct way .

We even had some floaters trying to get away with leaving d2ds in the frame... Some are on the mistaken believe that we are not supposed to cold-call D2Ds. Where do these people get their info from?

Since D2D have become live mail then guidelines (usually it is a guideline with CWU/RM on these things) of the past are no longer relevant.

We even have posties leaving d2ds from previous week(s) until they get a letter for the address; and managers ignore these until we have auditors in when they start checking and imploring for clear frames. Some managers are part of the problem - RM needs a serious cull...

Do they get the info from who trains them?

exactly, just do as dom tells you, d2ds are live mail. whats the problem ? does it mess up your early finish.

Problem is customers have said they dont want me just delivering as they call it junk mail , and i rarely finish early anyway normally on time but now doing 1 6th a day and trying neighbour means i am claiming 30-40 mins per day in august so whats sep on going to be like? im sure the shareholders would not be happy that i and probably thousands of others are now putting in ot , but its ok because you get your d2ds on the same day every week!

It's bloody well part of workload. If it takes you over then claim ; or cut off. It's not a bloody problem!!!

ok sorry for having a problem just voicing an opinion that i would have thought going to an address with mail as well would be more cost efficient to the business and be more customer friendly obviously i am in the minority i shall do as i am told from now on !

Was not having a go. It's about doing the job that RM want you to do. If that causes problems .. then?

next week the round behind me none on the side one in my area between none and one , me and my partner both have 5 only ones in my area , so we all get the same time to prep them which is none , so thats us cutting off then

so you just agree to everything then do you? i dont mind the job but the rm create unneccessary problems no one is perfect and if i think it is a bad idea i will say so have said at wtl dom agrees it is creating work and has said try to throw them all off on mon.tue and if i am going to go past time then dont take the ones with no mail! perhaps if we all question things more then we might help improve things!!
