SEWBC Rochester

Post by tyfc »

We went out 16.30 on unofficial action after one of our drivers refused to go through the unofficial strike at east london, our management refused to pay him for the whole afternoon and were to suspend him if he refused to do it today. So last night we all walked out, over 100 on the gate all day today unfortunately a handful of staff got in but no lorrys went to customer collections (bulk mailers) and only a handfull of lorries which were driven by Maidstone And Tonbridge Managers got out after they called the police and had us removed from their path. Today they offered us new terms and conditions to return to work we told them to shove em, talks continue tomorrow.

I'm with you all the way in the unofficial action. I really am. Provocation is a s**t thing, which nobody should go through while at work.

However, why's it just now London and Liverpool out on unofficial IA? Why nobody else?

Sorry dumbass question, but WTF SEWBC?

Cheers for that - I had noticed "Rochester" on the D2D labels, but had no idea where in Rochester....obviously you have nothing to do with the DO ( or the sc*bs that are there )....congrats to you all for standing up to the screws, but they don't like making it easy for themselves, do they?

BTW, any chance of dropping a match in the warehouse in a couple of weeks?

We only had 1 Northern Home Counties artic turn up about 1500 but she listened to what we had to say turned around in our yard and went back to NHC, she needed to go to the toilet but the management wouldnt let her use the toilet inside so she had to go over to the sports centre opposite and she went in there. I believe she still got paid, I dont they want NHCDC to get involved in this u/i/a for the problems it would cause on the network.......

Our door2door operation has been stopped for 3 weeks normally we have a constant supply of artics coming in and going out all of our racking is empty this was done in readiness for the official strikes we are doing as the fines for undelivered d2d are very high so they kissed goodbye to £8 million pounds worth of work apparently.

We have nothing to do with Rochester DO thank god all our Rochester DO work goes to Maidstone DO they move it over to Rochester DO like someone said they are healing wounds :d'oh!

Our customer base gives us approx 800 Rsc a day we have 4 Artics go to PRDC (1ST class), the rest goes to NHC (2nd, 3rd) we have been segging the 3rd class for NHC all the time we had no d2d to send out, just to keep our staff here working,

What would they be changing?

Sounds like a sneaky plan by RM to bring in changes.
