Just at thought for the day b4 bed. You get Â£21 TPM money in MC's for pulling out a hoover on the machines which seems a nice deal as your on duty anyway, but ask a delivery guy to delivery to every postal address in his walk with D2d's and dont wanna pay for it, kind of makes me puke...... OK i dont know my facts, but i think you cant get paid for more than 3 aweek (and take only3) As the RM want you to take more now, but wanna stop payment for all. Surely if you take 7, you could compromise an set the payment to a max of 5. i dunno.
As allot of us here actually dont do deliveries could someone actually explain the D2d's. I dont have a problem with you fellas earning an extra buck but the issue is confusing for me........

At present. we get 1.67p per item. An increase of .67p in almost 30 years. So. it's a rip-off right away. Billy Hayes was plugging for five per week years ago, but they're not that popular that people want five. At least Billy wanted up to get paid for them though. You take 20% a day. RM want us to take 7 or possibly 10 a week. With the amount of mail we're getting, something will have to give. They won't pay for pouch boxes, so thats a problem right away. Throw in the idea that you might be covering these things for someone off sick or on leave and you can see the RM plan is right up there with the Pharoah who thought making bricks without straw was a good idea. This is what comes of having clueless parasites running the job.

They can give me 20 if they want but when it's 2.15 I'm done so I hope the screws like delivering D2D's.

d2d:
there is a cap agreeed which makes 3 d2d items per week the maximium allocated - some weeks u get 2 items
most are thin single or double side leaflets - around 1.5p per item for sorting+delivery
larger d2d like council magazine which is 20 times heavier will pay 2.7p per item s+d

20% of d2d is usually done each day - takes maybe 20mins of your own time before shift start to prep this 20% and an extra 10mins to deliver cause u then have to go to all the doors on 20% of your walk.
So 30mins x 5 is around 2 1/2hrs work over the week
With a duty of 450 drops which must be average you make about 20 quid pw

So that's less per hr than your flat rate.

They are a real pain in the ass esp when the make your bundle slide about, get in the way and tear easily. A waste of our time and not easy money which is why a lot of us would not do them if we didn't have to.

The new proposal is to put any number of d2d in an envelope and remove payment altogether - 100% daylight robbery

I find about 5p a week in postboxes, usually in coppers. Rarely i find a silver 5p. I save them up in a glove department. Maybe every other month i get a free klix coffee paid for by my customers. I got life really good, maybe a better deal than you delivery guys. That coffees priceless to me.
