Royal Mail in Post Office online link up

ROYAL MAIL is set to deliver a click and collect service to thousands of online businesses, which will enable their customers to collect goods from 10,500 Post Office branches.

The Local Collect delivery channel – a partnership between Royal Mail and the Post Office – is already used by businesses such as lingerie retailer Figleaves.com and this will be extended to the 20,000 small and medium-sized business customers with which Royal Mail has contracts.

Last year about 70 million deliveries were made through click and collect and third-party collection points.

The service is available on Royal Mail Tracked and Special Delivery Guaranteed enabling parcels to be tracked through to delivery at the recipient’s chosen Post Office.
