Re: they never learn .
the people wanting a 'less stressful day' are giving everyone else more stress by working for nothing so more lapsing/flex is given to everybody because these muppets are working for nothing giving a false workload

seems we are getting punished for it now though. lapsing 3 dutys a day, crazy workloads, all leave cancelled (apart from summer leave weeks), management busting you for the slightest things. seriously, we went on strike for much, much less than the hassle/conditions we are working under now.
to be honest. if they took a 'stand' (i.e do the job properly in the face of severe provocation/hassle) there is no way they, or our office would go back to starting early/working breaks. It's about all we have left.
Hear hear, its the only tool we have for fighting back, the more they pressure me the more I push back and dig my heels in. they don't realise that what they are doing is only achieving the opposite.

Jesus!
If they came in on time and did their duty as they do they would get pulled up for going too slow that's all. Runners that come in early are bad yes this is true but these are also the ones finishing early!
Was Jesus a postie and did he get in early?

Lapsing is given because of muppets who finish early, runners and corner cutters. Someone coming in early working slower and finishing on time does not give you extra lapsing you fool!

Re: they never learn .
So if somebody comes in early and throws their own walk off instead of the person who should be doing it then that person is made to do something else like being put on the IPS. This then means that they are not doing what they should be doing per the revision and it throws the whole system that the office was designed around out, two or three people per office doing this means that the DOM can see where to save hours and increase lapsing.Judgee wrote:loverman shabba wrote:the people wanting a 'less stressful day' are giving everyone else more stress by working for nothing so more lapsing/flex is given to everybody because these muppets are working for nothing giving a false workload![]()

Jamwell, not really sure what you are on about? In my office if you throw up your own walk you throw up your own walk ,makes no odds to anybody else whatsoever. So I'll just try and simplify what I am saying. People coming back early are the ones that cause the problems. Whether they get in early or not it makes no difference. Even if they get in bang on time, if they come back to the office two or three hours early every day the bosses are going to notice and start thinking of ways to save hours. So you could get in on time, half hour early whatever it makes no difference, if you work all your hours nothing can be added. IT IS THE TIME YOU RETURN TO THE OFFICE THAT REALLY MATTERS! Is that really so hard to understand?????

Re: they never learn .
Anybody that comes in early to help a company making millions and at the same time this company is ALWAYS looking at ways to 'drop' you from the team.....Well, the term idiot springs to mind! Working before your pay starts and finishing on time is more the act of an idiot that the man that comes in at the start of his duty and finishes early.
Would you jump on the tills at Sainsburys an hour early, tell the Mrs you're helping out the 'job'?
People that defend working for free are basically inadequate for the job and it's insulting when they try and post a watered down defense. To take a little time from a job that through the years has always been making the job more difficult is acceptable, yet to stand at your frame before time and work for nothing is the act of a moron in my humble opinion.

Nothing can be added, your right on that point.....so why work for free by coming in early?Judgee wrote:Jamwell, not really sure what you are on about? Re: they never learn .
As to why they work for free well some people would rather come in half an hour early and chillout before the madness begins. Others just want to get in, run-around and go home but they are not one in the same! Early finishers on the other hand are all the same!jamwell wrote:Nothing can be added, your right on that point.....so why work for free by coming in early?Judgee wrote:Jamwell, not really sure what you are on about? No lie Jamwell a privileged few do make 2-3 hours a day and do not have to come in early to make it either. Thanks to the wonders of Pegasus the walks have never been so uneven!
Sometimes it's best just to plod on and forget about what everybody else is doing. But my overall point stands though, early finishing is far more damaging than anything else in RM. Some early starters aren't helping the situation but not all are the cause of the problems. Early starters seem to be a focus point for people on here, people to blame for everything that is wrong with RM. Look again and see who's really to blame!

Re: they never learn .
I think youre talking about people coming in early so they can get by "under performing" throughout the day.
I see this as bad precedent, if you really arent working to standard you can open yourself up to having more work put upon you if its noticed you are working at a slower rate and still completing the duty.

No Postie I'm talking about people coming in early so they don't feel the need to run around like a headless bloody chicken and work at a reasonable pace!!!Postie45 wrote:I think youre talking about people coming in early so they can get by "under performing" throughout the day.

Then you should get your managers to patrol more often.Judgee wrote:It's not the coming in early that's the problem, it's the idiots that finish early and walk back into the office 3 hours before their finish time that cause the headaches. Management see them and assume everyone is finishing at that time too!

and thus your whole "coming in early isnt a problem" argument falls apart. If there is too much work to do to be completed at a reasonable pace, then there should be overtime paid out, not by coming in early for free so it can be swept under the carpet. No Postie I'm talking about people coming in early so they don't feel the need to run around like a headless bloody chicken and work at a reasonable pace!!!

How much money have they saved on the indoor work? Start on your time do the indoor work properly and they won't be time to complete let alone collapse. It's basic f***ing numbers.Postie45 wrote:and thus your whole "coming in early isnt a problem" argument falls apart.
