Royal Mail Fleet and Maintenance Services has a new name

The part of our operation responsible for keeping the fleet on the road has come under many guises over the last decade. Building on the changes to Royal Mail Group since we joined the private sector, we are relaunching our operation to make it clear what we do.

We want to be recognised as the expert provider of fleet services to Royal Mail and the best fleet company in the UK. This will drive us to improve our products and services so we can compete with the likes of BT Fleet and claim our share in the fleet services market.

Our strategic goals are:

Be customer focused: deliver what we promise, improve the way we do business and lead innovative fleet solutions for our customers

Reduce maintenance demand: through continuous improvement activities with our customers and suppliers

Be a successful fleet business: produce outstanding business performance against our scorecard metrics.

From July 2014, we will be known as Royal Mail Fleet and our operational units will be called Fleet Workshops.

To be fair to them,they are probably under the same pressure as us in delivery to cut corners and to place quantity over quality.
