We have however just returned a yes vote for our own I/A ballot so perhaps we can move in the right direction again.

This week has seen a more effective "Do Your Job Properly" at our office as more and more people start on time, stop rushing around and adopt a different approach to cars/breaks.
We still have plenty who are killing the job by their short sighted selfishness.
Thankfully management have not been provoking workers (in our office) but the back log is growing larger and larger by the day. The more people do the job properly, the more it shows Royal Mail took our good will for granted.
The danger would be if people slip back into using cars and not taking proper breaks. Royal Mail would love this to happen ASAP. We need to encorage everyone to protect jobs by doing THEIR job properly without short cuts.

cars
Tell your manager that your car is your own not Royal Mails and if you don't want to use it then you dont have to You do not have to tell them if you don't want to use it but you need to tell them you need a bike or a mini bus to take you out to yourfirst point of delivery Ex union repdvbuk55 wrote:I am on leave at the moment but one of the guys e mailed me to say a notice had gone up at work to the effect that anyone who used their cars who was thinking of refusing to use it had to inform the management by Monday 1st and that those cars had to remain on the car park and the postmen return by bus from their delivery.
Any others had this notice or is it the DOMs idea of cleverness?

What about kicking him in the nuts a few timesray of sunshine wrote:We are all going to do our job properly on monday on my section.
However we have a person who i call a untouchable![]()
He went in on every strike day and wearing a smirk.
He is not in the union but had the nerve to sit with us at a union meeting on wednesday.
The only problem is, he will come in at 4.20, sort out the met bundles, throw his walk out, and then probably 10 to 5am start throwing out our section's mail.
When it does come to time to do the ips, he hogs the mail, the rest of us didn t get a look in, and he goes and throws his walk out while the rest of us are stood round as he as done all the ips.
has any one got any ideas to help the situation![]()
thanks

Doing The Job As RM want it
Don't worry about them because when there is no docket (Which is why they have bought the later start in ) THEY MAY OPEN THERE STUPID EYES and do there job properlyrobmacca wrote:Seems to be a mixed reaction in our office - while some will start Monday doing their job properly for the first time.
Others have already made excuses as to why they should carry on using their cars (yes, the docket bashers!).

same here, not complaining though! people are finally starting to see sense, not seen the canteen this busy ever!postie28 wrote:managers are virtually forcing us to do our jobs properly by enforcing meal relief and not letting us out until 9.55. they are also making us work until 1.55 pm. so there is no incentive to clear. most frames now nearly invisible under stacks of mail.

Left 2 bags in today.
Got in this morning.
By 10am, left 1 bag in.
Got onto my walk at 10.45am, saw the van driver at 1pm, and he took back the last bag drop.
Its a pity only 3 of my section are doing the job properly everyone else is running around like their lifes depended on it!

While alot are NOT doing their job properly (or think it's only related to the industrial action), still a good number of walkers and drivers ARE doing their job properly now in our office.
It has been good sitting in the canteen with the majority of the division I'm on sat beside me.
Oh yeah and we can hardly move in the office cos of the back log.............

Still people are running around around worrying
