Big bonus boost at RMFS

Members working in Royal Mail Finance Services will have their June pay packets boosted by almost £900 extra after hitting key bonus targets over the past 12 months.

Nearly 200 admin workers in Chesterfield and Farnworth (Bolton) are in line for the payouts of £897 for every full-time employee and pro-rata payments for part-time staff.

CWU national officer Andy Furey, who negotiated the bonus deal back in 2008 as part of a pay agreement, said that he was "very pleased that our hard-working members are getting a decent bonus payout, which is higher than the 2013 payment.

"This bonus scheme relates directly to Royal Mail Group's financial performance and so this increase reflects RMG's improved results and our members' contribution to that upturn."

In a message to staff, RMG financial controller Mike Prince said: "Thank you for all your hard work."

The past year had been "particularly challenging and this payment recognises the contribution you have made," he added.

Managers get their average £3000+ bonus next week , thats an annual bonus so they get something every year, but £250 a month would sure help out with my bills!
