Its a group containing senior managers and senior reps who discuss, trial and if successful reccomend implementation of ideas.

Make sure of union involvement and stops RM simply doing things by executive action

That does seem a bit of a no brainer. If you they don't want to pay us then I don't want to deliver it. Simple.

A working group is nominated reps and management who will sit and formulate ideas/suggestions taking input from their respective organisations until a document/agreement is reached and then put before Rm and CWU EC for approval and then out to ballot.

The above is to the best of my knowledge and from past experience it is always EC members and the the territorial directors for the gobshites.

Any working groups in my opinion should consist of local and area reps from all parts of the country who report back and take guidance from the ec. The reason being they are the only ones who know what is actually going on in the real posties world and would not sit and listen to bullshit and would know exactly what the members would vote for/against

no there would be a working group set up, senior managers/UCW reps to look at D2Ds and try and thrash out a deal, and then
royal mail will make us deliver them for nothing anyway...its an old tactic to save face when you cant agree on something, set up a
working group...sent them off for a few months to talk somewhere....i guess somewhere there is a senior managers/UCW reps working group

I'd like to think, the union get back to a position of winning here. RM, by giving a 4pm Friday deadline, have the ace at the moment.

It shows that they are really just going through the motions at this meeting because the final offer they made is not good enough in the unions eyes( i hope), so they will just play along hoping the union agree - tricky last meeting this one.
