In RM terms, an assault or robbery is recorded as an Incident on Duty (IOD), not an Accident on Duty (AOD). I suppose because it is not an accident. It would not be recorded in the Accident reporting book, or ERICA - I think that is what it's called.

There is a general misconception that if its classed as an incident it doesnt need to be recorded, that is completely wrong, all accidents and incidents should be reported on ERICA

Also there is no longer an accident reporting book, again it is all reported on ERICA

That's the short term problem sorted. As to what to do in the long term? Thats for you and the boss to play by ear, depending on what happens to your assailant amongst other things.

Blimey that's two people called Harry that have been assaulted now. Perhaps's anyone named Harry should go sick as a precaution.

guys i was assaulted while delivering parcel. i contact police and police got him, charge him and he is on bail now and i suppose to go to work tommarrow. not too sure about that what should i do.

When we had situations like this ,the address in question would be done by two managers, depending on circumstances other address close by too, or deliveries would be suspended and they would need to collect it from office, at an agreed time.
