strike breakers and "I cant afford it"

Post by takeyourbreak »

Are other posties like myself sick of those scabby ba@@'rds who come out with that old chestnut "I cant afford it" when confronted about why they are not on strike with us? Im sick to death of these people coming out with this. Nobody can afford it!!! If and when we win this deal it benefits these strike breakers aswell. Should the union not get them out? It really annoys me I recon everyone should just ignore them when we go back and maybe just maybe they will go away!!!

I know what you mean mate.

"Boo hoo! I've got kids and a mortgage."
That's a blow! I was hoping you would be the last of your line, you scab scum!
"Boo hoo! It's not the 70s"
I know! In the 70s, we'd have kicked your scab arse all over the street.
"Boo hoo! We're lucky to have a job!"
And if it was left up to you, you scab vermin, so would kids of five or six, only their would still be up chimneys and down mines.

I can't afford it either, but I'm solidly behind the strike on the basis of PRINCIPLE. They just don't get it though do they? Oh well, I suppose they'll be happy working until 4pm without overtime, doing 10 D2Ds a week without payment and working until 65 for a pittance of a pension.......

Union should get them out pronto. I stilll can`t see (at the risk of repeating myself) how they can kick out people for belonging to a political party "because it works against trade union principles" and yet cannot use that very same rule to kick out strike breakers who are doing exactly the same thing in regard to the union. I have to ask does the union have the genuine will or desire to get rid of these people?

I couldn't agree more. Both of those cases you mention are the enemy of the working class. I'd sooner pay another quid or two union dues to be rid of these creeps.

Yes kick the scab f***ers out and the loss in income could be replaced by not giving money to the Labour party. Kill two parasites with one stone?

Had this in the past regarding strike breakers still in the union at our office.
I think the best thing is to still keep taking their money (union funds) but, don't represent them properly when they get in any s**t & they usually do. Also ignore the filth as much as you can.
