Can I ask a question nobody can make you work through your break or work over so why do it if you don't want to?? You just have to be firm and follow procedure

Given you have gone over and by the sounds of it not taken your paid meal relief in going over, you are entitled to overtime including the untaken outdoor meal relief (I'm not sure you will have much luck claiming extra o/t for untaken indoor meal relief).

This is the problem, there are no written procedures, and they change on a frequent basis. Also my partner is scared not to do it in case we lose our jobs for wilful delay.

A prime example would be today, my partner approached me this morning with his concerns that we would not be able to have time to flex, (Personally I thought we would, but it would be tight) I told him that if he was concerned he had to tell the manager that flex would be difficult, he asked me to tell management instead. I said I was busy and that he should do it, then he responding by saying 'oh forget it then lets take it with us' to which I replied that we couldn't take it out the frame because it becomes live mail.

Long story short we left the flex in, did the walk but was unable to fit in time for flex. As we pulled up my partner said 'I'm not taking it, we don't have time, I said OK, then as soon as the manager approached and asked us to take it out he said 'Yes no problem'

So now I look a complete fool because 'If we had taken it out instead of leaving it in the fitting we would have had time'
Needless to say, we worked over again and I did my van checks when I got home in my own time again.

Just goes to show that Fear Factor works.

the only issue you may have a problem with is taking your break at the end of your shift, you are only allowed to take 20 mins of your break at end of shift not the full break, however it specifically states in the way forward that you do not need to stay in the office to finish the shift solely for purpose of signing out

I think I understand your delimea but I wouldn't give them a minute without being paid it doesn't matter what the procedure is just tell them you can't finish and tell them how many loops you can't do and wait for instructions I have had both sometimes take it out and try then bring it back or leave it in the frame I hope you can resolve the problem has this job is hard enough without any other crap going on

That document is full of holes. Maybe it was done before Park and Loop was thought of?

What if it's already prepped when you get in? What if there is a council letter for every house? You won't know until you open your bag. I'm finding myself asking the manager if it's as busy as yesterday. Why he asks. Well, I went over ten minutes yesterday, and today I have to finish on time. Oh no, it's easier than yesterday, you'll manage just fine. I know he just says anything.

All instances? So that's ALL part timers, and ALL park and loop duties, at least three times a week.
