Future rm,,,,what kind of way is that to speak to someone,,,,,people like you, ,, . Talking down to someone, given you're name and the way you're talking you sound like a future boss ,if not one already . There is a lot that's goin on in offices round the country intimidation etc reg lapsing , delivery spans and a whole lot more . This is not the way forward , staff will do as little possible if treated like rubbish . Treat people with dignity and respect ,even a little thank you when needed all helps . The sickness levels esp staff off with stress , is high ,some people do have a breaking point .

Some in our office finished at 1 45 today and others at 1pm the finish time is 2 30

If those guys are finishing up to 1 1/2 hrs early then lapsing is a no brainer.

Im not saying all posties have it easy, some work their asses off but some DO's like the original poster's are taking the piss.

I think he the original poster was highlighting that some have it easy in any office yet others are tarred with the same brush regardless it is the same up and down the land.

Yes there is no doubt lick arses in my office that get away with Murder as for the manager coincidentally she is always on leave with the union rep when the going get tough. So therefore we have no office manager or union back up tomorrow only those kid managers from college.

Why on earth are people putting newspapers in their frames, how are you going to sort the mail in around them and even fit Thursdays mail in as well? I don't get it, it's far easier just to fold them, bundle them up and carry them at the back of the bundles same as with d2d,

Yeah, but then you have to go to every address, whether or not you have mail for them. Putting them in the frame means you can just take where you're going anyway. Should slim down on the bulk of it. Some are taking 100% for half the duty and zero for the other half, repeated next day. That's one way of doing it but it makes it 2 killer halves over 2 days, instead of just generally bulky overall.

How does this method work when your frame has double slots????

If a double slot... Say number 2 and 4 had mail for just number 2 tomorrow..... Then how do you remember that the newspaper left in the frame is for number 4???.

Excellent. If only more posties had heard of these fabulous devices it'd make being a reserve so much easier! Usually I see one leaflet left in a double slot and have to guess which address it is.

If you have to go to the trouble of numbering your D2D , then wouldn't it actually be just as easy (If not actually quicker) to just deliver the bloody thing on the correct day?

Yes, and I do so however some of the lazy duty holders do not. They just like to make life difficult for others sometimes, I think!

sorry.... the real point of this is....... people make a successful company... a happy work force make an extremely profitable company... unlike royal mail who beat the s**t out of it's people.. i'm only making a point... i'm a human not a piece of microscopic S H I T ..... i want to work for a successful company...

BUT not be beaten,treated like dirt, harassed, bullied,or over worked... (doing the work of 2 humans) and allowed to do the job, work to my time... and then i'll be happy to pick up my pay packet at the end of the week,,, from the hard work i've done...
