Afraid not the CWU agreed to take it on for no extra.
Yes it is a D2D CONTRACT a one off so we are told but I don't believe them just work your hours or next time could be one lot a day!

Yep, all went to plan, folded them yesterday (Tuesday) after early finish, finished at 13:00 today got back to office 13:15 and spent 1/2 hour throwing them in. Still went home early, piece of p!ss.
Will do every call on my round and only those with mail on partners on Thurs, then he'll number the remainder Friday.

Had to laugh as when I came back there was a lino and manager with black hands, and I mean black as they had to fold and throw-off all the lapsed jobs between them... :nana :nana

Because this is classed as a D-2-D... do I have to put it through doors that say "No Free Newspapers"? I mean after all its classed as a D-2-D..lol

I've got quite a few places on my delivery where they don't want "free newspapers" so I'll be bringing a good few of these back over the next two days.

Unless they have an official opt out, then they get the D2D.
There was a freedom of information request on this, and RMs position was quite clear:
Failure to deliver can be classed as wilful delay which we all know could lead to dismissal.

:thumbup

So even if they say they don't want "free newspapers" I have to deliver it? that's fine by me then, I'll just tell them to take it up with RM and then tell them to contact RM Customer Services to lodge a complaint about it.

But the Sun is not a newspaper so "No Free Newspapers" notices are to be disregarded. :nana

Knowing that there will be just a few houses involved, I will not bother delivering d2ds to people that expressly put a note that t hey do not want them.

Why? Because my manager is unlikely going to stick his neck out to defend me if a customer complains about me or get aggressive or abusive about things. I have had these sort of conversation with customers and the hard core will not have it and they do let you know about it...

Is it really worth it? Not in my view. Endorse and just say the mail was refused - at least the customer have the right to refuse mail (we have stickers for those).

8 adverts, including sky, Iceland, Mars and biggest of all - coca cola...
How much did the sun charge these companies? I guarantee you they made more money then they are paying Royal Mail to deliver them

Not looked at it yet. So what you're saying is that there is no World Cup Wall Chart or footy stuff in it?
Maybe they should use that sick headline of theirs from the Falklands War.. As that sums this up really.
