i didnt realise it was voluntary, so the dom cant make a day shorter to extend another day ? *edit: hmm, having read the whole thread properly, maybe it doesn't clear things up too well! It's voluntary to my knowledge, I've never yet know it to be enforced and people have refused the option at my DO before, and others have agreed to it, if it suits them.

Only if both parties agree can they get you to flex.
