Since the last pay agreement was ratified R/M and the CWU were committed to further a bonus scheme for OPG grades by last April why has this taken so long nothing in the project pride has nor will incentivise any of the OPG shareholders which have been disenfranchised by the companies hard-line to protracted delivery payments for said OPG's!

hate statements. Because invariably they are wrong, biased and based on incorrect information. SOME may be lazy, SOME may skive and SOME may falsify their times, but not everyone does.

What is all this talk about booking extended delivery at SA rate?

First, my manager did not even mention booking OT as he thinks it can all be done as we shall not be lapsing*. Or perhaps he is being quiet about that part because he is bent, as usual.

Secondly, SA rate OT does not mean a great deal. It is just a few pennies extra for a whole load of hassle for those that want it, that is. Of course, they will be expecting our goodwill and it is not even Xmas.

* Further to the lapsing, we have heard that manager is only stopping lapsing for Thursday and Friday; not even the whole week to cover the constricted time for D2D deliveries.

If it S/A rate should that over time be forecast and everyone receive those forecast hours or do I smell a rat which no one will see anything anytime soon!

The booking is for all English postcodes excluding L, some WA, and CH etc around the L postcodes. There will also be a mixture of postcodes included and excluded on the Scottish and Welsh borders.

I assume the Merseyside exclusion is because of what the Sun said about Liverpool fans at Hillsborough, and RM management don't want a load of assaults on posties by irate Scousers.

If this goes well I can see Royal Mail offering customers specific days for delivering D2D's. I bet lots of companies would like their leaflets delivered on Saturdays when most people are at home. ISTR Matalan used to deliberately post their catalogues out to arrive on Saturdays to prompt people to go shopping at the weekend. And the CWU will probably let them do it!

We already HAVE agreed to it.

BT2010 deal says

Both parties also recognise that in addition to growth in the core D2D product further
commercial opportunities are likely to exist particularly for named/specific day(s) products
and/or Saturdays which may provide Royal Mail with additional scope for increased revenue.
In order to take advantage of any potential in this area any further commercial
opportunities will remain subject to ongoing dialogue, joint monitoring and review and will
also be discussed and agreed with the CWU nationally at the quarterly review meetings with
a view to capturing any viable opportunities for the mutual benefit of Royal Mail and its
employees and to also deal with any workload issues.

On a side note, the amount of times people are asking this question makes me wonder how many people actually read the agreement before voting, or did the majority just accept the recommendation of an organisation that had a vested interest in getting a YES vote.

to be honest they can agree and do what they want , you have a start and finish time , no problem.

Today I got threatened (Via literrally shouting at me!) with a wilful delay conduct meeting tommorrow, because I phoned the office to tell them I couldn't complete on time, thanks to these. Nobody answered the phone and I was forced to work 50mins overtime with no break whatsoever!
