You go to the merseyside amal agm next year and say that, l'm not doing them and thats the end of it and i don't work in the 3 postcode areas,L, WA and CH that are not getting them, are royal mail saying those workers are lazy, no. I can't believe what you have said.paulj3001 wrote:DirtyHarry wrote:Think that just sums up why our job is so s**t now. If you work in a supermarket for example you can't choose what to sell and what not to sell. This moral stance nonsense is just an excuse for lazyness.

It's people like you Dirtyharry that have f****d up this job. We can't choose what to deliver or where will it end. Can I refuse to deliver Amazon parcels because they are tax dodgers?

The refuge of corporate greed and capitalism is in the denegration of a persons moral standards and beliefs.paulj3001 wrote:DirtyHarry wrote:Think that just sums up why our job is so s**t now. Re: Can you Refuse to Deliver The Sun Leaflet
Ok less share dosh for everyone if the big business doesn't come in, if you was the boss of a leaflet company would you give a contract like that to a rival firm?
I don't like giving greenthumb leaflets to 200 old peoples flats just as much as I didn't like giving free butter coupons to foreigners etc.
Just deliver them with all the other stuff , IT'S YOUR JOB. God knows whats in the parcels but I know for a fact a lot of them are drugs, maggots , live insects and big fat squashy dildos! I don't like it but it's my job and dosh at the end of a hard week.

My manager told me the reason were doing it for free and the CWU agreed is because the company is in financial trouble and were getting 24 Million for them.

Re: Can you Refuse to Deliver The Sun Leaflet
exactly, we'd all be in financial trouble if we lost our job due to no work, and didn't rm WIN the contract rather than just be told to do it. Must be a big earner, a full page ad in it cost £300k.vanman90 wrote:My manager told me the reason were doing it for free and the CWU agreed is because the company is in financial trouble and were getting 24 Million for them.

Re: Can you Refuse to Deliver The Sun Leaflet
This is confusing Doorstepped, 1. There is a National Agreement already in place and 2. How has your DOM got access to LTB's before the Branch's and Membership????there is a new LTB out that states because the union agree to the delivery of the S**, anyone who refuses to deliver it will get taken down the conduct code as not delivering the item amounts to willful delay.
my DOM told me this this morning as I had advised him earlier this week that I would not be delivering it, so I will be phoning in sick on Thursday Morning.

Our dom has said book extended delivery on those days as required,so does that count as getting extra or not? I'm not sure.vanman90 wrote:My union man says the union are encouraging and telling posties to deliver it, even though we're not getting any extra for it.

Do they pay you if you go over? if they do it should be S/A overtime if you are ok with this and how much you get the choice is yours.Bahia Feliz wrote:Our dom has said book extended delivery on those days as required,so does that count as getting extra or not? Re: Can you Refuse to Deliver The Sun Leaflet
We've already been f****d up by NEW LABOUR and the CONDEMS the fact TNT are in some locations is nether here nor there they will come as this whole market is a corrupt one set up on backhanders nothing we do or do not do will change this! Till some people stop believing coming in early not having your break or going over will not stop your job being lost I say you are sadly deluded or easily lead by the most corrupt organization since the NSADP=NAZI PARTY believe what you are told at your peril for it may be you last free thought!Burnleyfc wrote:Massive contract for royal mail just deliver the thing it secures jobs at the end of the day and we can't pick and choose what we deliver I've been with royal mail five years I know it's a pain but for god sake lads if it means job security get it done and it could be a lot worse we could be all on minimum wAge fair enough cut off give sum1 else the docket but refusing it isn't going to help us when it's all over the media and TNT are laughing their bollocks off at us because all the big contracts go to them because we can't friggin do the jobs wake up lads because TNT are waiting for us to fuk up
