actually neither figure is correct, the stipulation is delivered over 2 days, no where does it say a certain percentage per day, a sensible approach would be to deliver around 65% on thursday and 35% on friday if your office is busier on a friday than a thursday, but again no where does it stipulate any amount

£2Million seems a more realistic sum,that would work out about 9.5p per paper but I am sure I read somewhere in a press release that it was £21Million.

They say this is worth £21million,If there are 22million drops that means they are charging £0.95 per paper....that seems rather a lot to me!

Where did you get £21m from? It would be less that 1/10th of that.

I heard something of that order either 12 or 21 - with what will have to be paid in overtime 2.1 million wouldn't cover it and date specific would be at a very high premium.

They could send it first class for less than £21m. For a normal national D2D contract at this weight it would be about 6p per item. This would obviously be a bespoke contract but I would expect it to be <£2m

Hmm we've been told three days to do six days worth of regular D2D'S (Mon to Weds) then The Sun world cup sh*te has to go out Thurs and Fri. Our rural guys crucified the DIM earlier..he was last seen hiding under his desk, sucking his thumb and citing the Nuremberg defence - I vos only following orders.

The Sun is a DAILY 'newspaper' and News UK probably wanted them ALL delivered on 12th June but "eighty per cent of the 22m copies will be distributed on 12 June" is probably the best that Royal Mail could offer.

It is in excess of £20 million. About 90p per paper which by weight and thickness would be about correct.
We have asked for 1.5 hours SA on Thursday AM and plan to do the whole lot in one go. Just want it over with. 28 kilos on a 500-slot frame isn't that much when on Thursday we go to 80%+ of calls anyway.

I would want double than that then would consider it but would be a tough call for most.
