there is one thing with this statement though, if you have signed the PDA training documents then you have signed to say you have been trained properly in the use of the PDA including the phone function
When we had PDA training it didnt involve learning every single function (ie using it as a phone) but we have still had training.
Signing the `I have had PDA training` document doesnt mean I know how to use the phone function.

actually one of list of things you sign in the training document is to agree you have been trained on is the phone function among other things

Re: Wilful delay
Health & Safety overrides wilful delay and you need to bring the matte apart from your union rep but also to your H&S rep.
As already posted it is important that you log the accident in the accident book immediately on your return and complete the appropriate documents, Because your driver trapped his finger in the van door I don't think an ERICA applies as this for road accidents and should be a HERICA which covers human error but would take advice from your H&S rep on this subject. By completing a HERICA it would mean that your driver did an unsafe act and therefore if he goes absent due to his injury then this will not be discounted from the attendance procedure as completing an ERICA would.
If your driver goes sick prior to the fact finding meeting then request a postponement and by that time he may have a GP medical certificate to bring with him to the FF meeting.
As long as you have notified your DOM that you were unable to complete your round due to the fact that you would have taken longer due to drivers injury on route because you both left the office fully intending to complete had it not been for this mishap so your DOM will know where to stick his wilful delay charge.
As already recommended to not go to any meeting without a union rep in attendance and fully read FF notes and make amendments if necessary before putting your signature to it.

Re: Wilful delay
There is no such thing as HERICA, ERICA is the reporting system for all accidents and incidents regardless of road traffic or otherwiserehabron wrote:Because your driver trapped his finger in the van door I don't think an ERICA applies as this for road accidents and should be a HERICA which covers human error but would take advice from your H&S rep on this subject.

again incorrect regardless of erica being reported, any absence due to injury whether on duty or not may still be counted in regards to attendance procedure

Re: Wilful delay
again incorrect when you return to work next week enquire if there is a document HERICA because through my own experience my line manager completed one and ticked the relevant boxes for an accident on duty which was determined according to line manager I had completed an unsafe act and therefore completed a HERICA for my injury which included absence.
After taking the matter through management H&S rep and because an injury had occurred it should have been an ERICA and after several meetings with management had line manager's decision overturned and completed ERICA.

Re: Wilful delay
Also ZX135 should have also mentioned it has been the practice of RM to class them as " INCIDENTS" instead of" ACCIDENTS" to keep their accident records to a minimum and also reduce the employee from having any absences discounted through the attendance procedure. I am again talking through experience.

again incorrect regardless of accident or incident (which should are be reported the same way anyway on erica) the absence may still be counted in the attendance procedure regardless of being an accident or not

Re: Wilful delay
I think you mean HERCA = Human error root cause analysis. This is nothing to do with ERICA through. In this case it would probably be both. If anyone has sustained an injury then ERICA needs to be completedrehabron wrote:again incorrect when you return to work next week enquire if there is a document HERICA because through my own experience my line manager completed one and ticked the relevant boxes for an accident on duty which was determined according to line manager I had completed an unsafe act and therefore completed a HERICA for my injury which included absence.
