we got a letter on the notice board from the cwu over this today , normal d2ds will be delivered on your duty mon, tues , weds and then that leaves Thursday , Friday for this shite , I cannot believe the cwu have agreed to this , f***ing bollocks.

We don't want any new work and we want to finish 2 hours early every day.

How are we meant to deliver a weeks worth of d2d in 3 days when your duty was built to deliver them over 6 days. This means you will be going over the agreed model week every day therefor you are more likely to be cutting off. Then you have 2 days to deliver in essence what are d2d this again will put you even more over the model week. The union negotiated s.a payment for overtime which I think is good but it'll be interesting to see how managers will manage the extra workload on the posties. We only have 2 days to deliver them because much more than that and England will be out of the World Cup

The Sun contract counts as 1, so the maximum would be 6 other.

Only 1 or 2 and you’re laughing.
3 or 4 and it’s bearable.
5 or 6 and you’re going to be pushed.

Our office of 4 was told about this today

We have 5 lots of d2ds next week and one lot is a magazine judging by the weight it says on the sheet. 1200 drops times 5 (between 2) to get done by Wednesday

It depends on how your model week was set - given that we are now in June.
It depends on your call rate.
It depends on what resources are put in to enable you to get out in time to complete with the extra workload.

The trite answer to how do you deliver D2D in 3 days is 33.3%/day.

Its more about the weight of the d2d than the number of contracts. Looked at the d2d sheet my quote off about 560 calls weighs in a about 33 kgs. With the other 3 contracts the total weight is over 60 kg.
