LoveJoy is this true?

The new proposed deal is this: i know this because i asked RM operations exactly what was being tabled:
5.4% on basic pay from October 2007 taking full time national basic pay from £324.92 per week to £342.46.
1.5% on basic pay in April 2008 (on condition agreement on pension reform, change and flexibility is reached)
Which means 347.60 basic
So 6,9% over two years.
If all agreed, a lump sum of £175 in October sometime. Plus the usual productivity scheme, Colleague shares etc. - which amount to pennies on the grand scale of things.

Well Leighton and Crozier have threatened to withdraw from talks permanently if this isnt accepted so lets hope Hayes et al dont bottle it like Brown...
Theres no chance the workers will accept this...if the CWU accept this they will trigger Unoffical IA all over...
Perhaps this is what RM want so they can break the strike by calling it unlawful....crafty f***ers.

Leighton and Crozier have threatened to withdraw from talks permanently, not a chance that the government will let this happen!
For a start these two feckers have been nowhere near ALL the talks!
It's still got too go too the vote!
And if its s**t then we vote NO

RM throwing the rattle out of the pram again. Bullying tactics telling the union they will withdraw from talks if we don't agree.
Brown and Darling should take a leaf out of the the french governments book and bail out the pension hole. The government let RM take the holiday (albeit a tory one), they should fund the deficit.
The only deal i would accept: 7.3% backdated to april 07, it's worth more than the lump sum on offer; removal of flexibility package until the Big Deal on change is fully negotiated; set aside collegue shares money built into basic pay in the future, no one wants lump sums; pension hole filled by the government, 100% of any agreed efficiency savings as long as the targets are realistic and not RM's slash and burn approach. Next pay deal in april 09 to include 50% of savings made from automation, plus inflation basic increase.
Otherwise it's a no deal and back on the picket lines until we squeeze the bastards dry.
