On BBC website Crozier reckons before he took over there were 1,442 such working practices at the firm, but these had so far been whittled down to 92.
Good grief this is getting worse

Crozier wasn't brought in for his operational knowledge.

Everything he spoutes comes from Tom Melvin, yes him of Scottish background.

Those practices may only occur in particular parts of the country, which rasies the question of so-called collective negotiation. It seems that there are local agreements and their differ around the country.

I reckon him & Leighton were brought in cos they are salesmen - bullshit is natural for them and saying something and contradicting yourself publically days later is second nature......all that matters is you close the deal, not how, or when, or with who, as long as it is closed and stays that way till the commission cheque clears and you go for the next one.

If its 2hrs for easter saturday, then by my reckoning for the thirty years i've done, thats 60hrs back pay they owe me. Of which most of that will be at double time, should help ease the the loss of earnings for being out on strike.

that's why they call him Archie Andrews . Melvin's the Victorian Millowner type who deliberately orchestrated strikes .
