Mind you, if it wasn't for 'inefficiencies' in working practices not effectively ironed out by management I might not have had this opportunity originally for the great job of ours
Aww, bless RM. Ghosts up and down the country sonny Jim. Get used to it.

Sounds like the DOM will have scope to cut loads of hours from your DO. How many of them are runners and/or cut corners?

Everyone works at different levels of pace. Out over the ground on a 4 hr delivery the faster postie can prob cut the time by 30 min max. If you have people making 2 hrs a day then these will always be the ones who are coming in early and cutting corners etc. Normally these folks do not lend a hand on the ips or take any kind of break but are in a mad rush to get out of the door asap.

As others have said the days of "super" ghosting are (have) coming to a end. Yes they were good back in the day but nowadays they will only head you off down a one way path to a part time job or extra absorbtion etc.

From my experience the posties that have lasted the longest in this job have been mostly plodders. The runners have grown frustrated with the changes and left. :hmmmm
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Cheers Krussel :Very Happy I think you're right though. I know a few old posties that used to be runners and they've had to leave the job due to problems. Mainly with legs/shoulders/backs, a lot caused by carrying overweight bags in the bad old days and trying to rush around.

RM don't give a s**t but they're still having to live with their problems.

But if you come in an hour early. How can you be 'making' two hours... and if you come in two hours early ? how can you be making ... etc , etc ad nauseum (spelling?)
